Geothermal Exploration at Ulu Semenyih

3-5 January 2022 – Geophysics team has conducted a study to explore potential area for geothermal at Ulu Semenyih, Selangor using electrical method. This study was led by Dr. Nur Azwin Ismail and Professor Dr. Rosli Sa’ad along with PhD student, Mr. Muhammad Nazrin A Rahman and 8 undergraduate geophysics students from second and third year. The team have to carry heavy cables and equipment and walk about 2km up and downslope to reach the specific location for conducting the resistivity survey. Geophysics team shows a very great teamwork throughout the study. Sincerest gratitude to the Global GeoExperts Sdn Bhd for their steadfast and generosity in granting Industrial Grant for this project to be successful.
