Mineral Exploration Using Geophysical Methods

20-26 April 2022- Geophysics team conducted a study on mineral exploration using geophysical methods (2-D resistivity, Induced Polarization, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and magnetic) at Perak. In addition to the hilly, swampy and sunny study area, the project was conducted during the fasting month. The study was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nordiana Mohd Muztaza and Professor Dr. Rosli Sa’ad. This project is also assisted by Dr. Nur Azwin Ismail, laboratory staff; Mr. Shahil Ahmad Khosani, postgraduate student; Dr. Muhammad Taqiuddin Zakaria, research attachment student; Mr. Adewumi Taiwo, two PhD students; Mr. Muhammad Nazrin A Rahman and Mr. Farid Najmi Rosli, and two undergraduate geophysics students; Muhammad Amri Bin Mahadir and Muhammad `Ammar Bin Ahmad Dahisam. Special appreciation is given to Global GeoExperts Sdn Bhd for sponsoring industry grants to lecturers at the School of Physics and for the utmost active and seamless collaboration throughout the whole research study.
