Geophysics Field Camp
26-27 June-2022 ; 2-3-July-2022 : Second-year USM Geophysics students used geophysical techniques (2-D resistivity, seismic refraction, ground magnetic, gravity, and remote sensing) to investigate subsurface characteristics in Penang. This field camp is one of the activities in the ZGT295 course that provides students with hands-on experience handling equipment (data acquisition) and utilising various geophysical software (data processing). The duration of the activity was five days (25-27 June 2022; 2-3 July 2022). Participating in this activity were all geophysics lecturers and laboratory staffs. Special thanks are extended to the Dean of the School of Physics for granting permission to conduct this activity and the Royal Malaysia Police for their excellent cooperation.
