Magnetic survey at Pulau Bunting, Yan, Kedah

6-12 February 2023- The geophysics team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nordiana Mohd Muztaza was assigned to identify potential areas for archaeological findings on Pulau Bunting, Yan, Kedah using the ground magnetic method. The site area is predominantly flat and consists of coastal swamps, mangrove forests, sandy beaches, and thick bushes. This project was also assisted by our geologist, Dr. Teoh Ying Jia, post-doctoral staff; Dr. Muhammad Taqiuddin Zakaria, laboratory staffs; Mr. Shahil Ahmad Khosani, Mr. Zulkeflee Ismail and Mr. Muhammad Anis Ibnu Hajar; PhD student; Mr. Farid Najmi Rosli, and staff from Global GeoExpert Sdn. Bhd; Mr. Muhammad Nazrin A Rahman and Athirah Rosli. This project was funded by MMC Corporation Berhad Group.
