IPTC 2025 Energy Education University Student Programme

18th - 20th February 2025 - The International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC 2025) organised by four professional societies: AAPG, EAGE, SEG, and SPE, was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 18th to 20th February 2025. Thong Li Xuan (from Geophysics Programme) represented USM in the university student programme, which included 50 participants chosen from nearly 500 applicants from 39 universities and 16 countries. The theme for this year, "Energy for All: Reflect>Innovate>Evolve" has provided a rich learning environment. There are technical sessions, mock-interview session, group presentation covering topics such as CCUS, AI and Digitalisation, Energy Transition and many more that was an amazing opportunity for students to shape their future career growth in the energy industry.
