Geophysics, School of Physics, USM Contribution For Subsidence Case

9 April 2019, Universiti Sains Malaysia - Geophysics Group, School of Physics has been called upon to assist USM in identifying soil condition nearby the Chancellory building parking lot which subsidence occurred. The study involved cooperation between Geophysics team lead by Prof. Madya Dr. Rosli Saad, Dr. Nordiana Mohd Muztaza, Mr. Yaakob Othman and geophysics postgraduate students, collaborate with School of Civil Engineering USM - Professor Fauziah Ahmad and Department of Development and Asset Management, USM. The study was carried out using 2-D resistivity, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and theodolite methods.
