8th Malaysia International Young Inventors Olympiad

13 April 2019 - Lecturers from School of Physics, AP. Dr. Shahrom, Dr. Naser, Dr. Fairuz Omar, Dr. Nik Noor Ashikin, Dr. Zamir, Dr. Siti Azrah, and Dr. Shanmugan were invited as the judge of Malaysian International Young Inventors Olympiad 2019 with AP Dr. Shahrom as the Chief Judge of the programme. This programme was participated by students from local high school and students from 10 other countries including the United States, Indonesia, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Philippines, and Thailand. There were about 259 innovation projects divided into biotechnology, electronics, environment, mechanics/materials, chemistry and recycle category competed. The objective of the programme basically to develop potentials and scientific skills among students in carrying out current researches and to develop students' capabilities in innovation in science and engineering to a higher platform.
